Founded in 2024, S.E.A. Dragons is a Welsh competitive esports organisation. We compete in organised video gaming leagues and tournaments across several titles, both nationally and internationally. Drawing on professional football, we've built a club with dedicated players, coaches and analysts, using structured training and performance analysis to develop talent and compete at the highest levels. In just over two years, we've won three consecutive Welsh Esports League Club Championships, secured multiple national titles and qualified for four major international tournaments with prize pools exceeding £100,000. Our Rocket League team also won a championship at a live event in London attended by over 3,000 spectators. Beyond competition, we've helped over 100 individuals access opportunities to earn money through esports, providing experience and development opportunities in a rapidly growing industry. We're now taking our work beyond competition, engaging with Members of the Senedd to advocate for greater political recognition and support for esports in Wales. Our ambition is not only to continue achieving success internationally, but to help create a more sustainable future for Welsh esports and the people involved in it.

Behind S.E.A. Dragons is a dedicated team of players, coaches, analysts and management staff who have helped build the organisation into what it is today. With over 50 players and staff involved throughout our journey, we've achieved multiple national championships and competed internationally, often with limited resources. What I'm most proud of is the commitment of everyone involved. Our success has always been a collective effort, with individuals contributing their expertise while gaining valuable experience and opportunities to develop within esports.

My journey began in football, where I progressed to Head of Analysis at Hereford FC before founding S.E.A. Dragons in 2024. I wanted to take the experience I'd gained in traditional sport and apply it to competitive esports, building an organisation capable of developing talent and competing at the highest levels. Starting without established support structures wasn't easy, but in just over two years we've won multiple national championships, competed internationally and created opportunities for over 100 people. More recently, I've taken our efforts into Welsh political discussions, advocating for greater recognition and support for esports. What began as an ambition to build a successful club has grown into something much bigger, with the potential to make a lasting difference to the industry in Wales.
